Dear Jammers, We are now in our EIGHTH festival season. Since we have started this labor of love, we have been striving to bring you the most complete list of jam-band festivals in the northeast, from Maine to the Carolinas, and west to Ohio. We have over 100 shows listed in the northeast region!!! Falling under the jam-music umbrella are such diverse genres as rock, folk, jazz, bluegrass, country, Celtic, world, Native American, and more. The scene is not so much about the type of music but about the vibe. Peace, baby, is still what we are all about. That, and dancing from the heart are what makes our merry go round. Information on our web site is growing, so we have changed the look of our home page in an attempt to ease navigation. The "meat" (as opposed to the "tofu" for you vegans) of our site is the UPCOMING page, where we list the festivals in the northeast region. Most festival listings have links to their web sites for more details. We also provide a FESTIVAL REVIEWS page, collated by year. This is not only to be read after the fact as a review, but more importantly, before the next festival as a guide to what to expect once you are there. Our CAMP page has tips on food and camping to make your outdoor experience more comfortable, and, ultimately, more enjoyable. Other pages are meant to brainwash you, like our BOOKS page. Be sure to drop in on our GALLERY, too. There are some fun pictures there, like the photo essay on Tina the Topless Hippie. Music and positive energy is what our subculture is all about, and if we all promote peace in our own hearts first and our homes next, some day the world may be a better place. So, Jammers: be playful, stay naked, and make love often. See you on the Golden Road,
and be sure to stop in at our camp at Sunflower Junction...
